Floralis Lumina, from Latin floralis (floral) and lumina (light), is a bioluminescent flowering plant with radially symmetric inflorescences featuring semi-translucent petals in whorls. Petals emit vibrant blue light (420-490 nm) with phosphorescent speckles indicating luciferin activity. The bright yellow stamens and conspicuous pistil contrast vividly with the luminous corolla. Elliptic, semi-transparent leaves with fine venation grow on slender stems adapted to gentle air currents. Native to tropical cloud forests at 15-25°C, it belongs to Aqua Luminaceae, genus Floralis, with 10 known relatives. Luminescence attracts nocturnal moths and other pollinators, enhanced by movement for light diffusion. Weighing 15-50 g and 30-50 cm tall, Floralis Lumina supports nocturnal pollinators and cloud forest biodiversity.
