Illumiflora Marinus, from Latin 'illumina' (to light up) and 'flora' (plant life), is a rare bioluminescent species endemic to the Abyssal Ocean Gardens. It measures 15-30 cm in height, weighing 150-300 g, with undulating stems and a complex corolla typical of the Corolla Ignis cluster. The flower has a radiant orange center surrounded by undulate, scalloped petals shimmering in deep crimson and fiery orange hues, with fine filaments and clustered reproductive organs. Leaves and stems have a velvety texture with luminescent microstructures. Bioluminescence spans 470-530 nm via luciferin-luciferase reactions in epidermal cells, producing a steady blue-green glow in the 0-10°C abyssal environment. This species represents a newly classified genus in bioluminescent flora, with unique morphological and genetic traits. Its aquatic undulation aids spore dispersal and attracts nocturnal pollinators, such as deep-sea crustaceans and bioluminescent insects. Illumiflora Marinus enhances habitat complexity, contributing to abyssal biodiversity with 100 species in its cluster.
