The Evolution of the Factor System for Dataland Digital Collections

Dear Collectors,

As we approach the release of the Dataland Founding Digital Collection, we're excited to introduce a core evolution in our ecosystem: Data Points— a new rewards system grounded in the legacy of the RAS Factor System. Now, that legacy becomes the direct foundation for Data Points, our new rewards program designed specifically for Dataland.

Let's explore what Data Points are, how they connect to the Factor System, and how they play a role as part of Dataland’s Founding Digital Collection!

Data Points & The Dataland Collector’s Rewards Program

Data Points are intended to reward engagement and long-term holding within the Dataland ecosystem. The launch of Data Points begins with a one-time allocation to previous collectors, directly based on their Factor System points. The number of Data Points you receive initially will be proportional to your total Factor Points, linking your history and participation via the Factor System to the start of your Data Points journey.

Following this initial distribution, collectors will be able to earn Data Points monthly by continuing to hold Dataland Digital Collectibles. We believe in recognizing commitment over time, so sustained holding will continuously earn a collector Data Points, rewarding long-term participation in the ecosystem.

Data Points & The Factor System

As previously mentioned, the initial Data Point allocation is based on the RAS Factor System. To ensure this foundation is accurate and reflects historical participation appropriately, we've updated the original Factor System by adding our latest collections and rebalanced the point system as follows:

Data Points & The Dataland Founding Digital Collection

To facilitate the accurate calculation of your Factor Points based on holdings across different wallets, we will add a Web3 Wallet Connect feature to MyDataland. This will allow you to securely link one or more web3 wallets to your MyDataland profile by simply signing a transaction from each wallet you wish to link. After completing this one-time verification for a wallet, it becomes associated with your profile, and you will not need to connect that wallet again for your holdings to be recognized. Please keep an eye out for this feature coming soon!

It is crucial to connect all relevant wallets using this feature to ensure we can accurately calculate your total Factor Points across your entire collection. This is the basis for determining your initial allocation of Data Points, so linking your wallets ensures you receive the full amount you are entitled to. We want to affirm that all past RAS collectors—regardless of the size of your collection—are valued members of the Dataland community. Every collector, whether you have 1 or 1000 Factor Points, will enjoy presale access to the Dataland Founding Digital Collection.
